I have been collecting some more items to scrapbook with. Game pieces etc..My printer tray has a couple new items as well but not a lot.<br />
<br />
I haven't kept to my once a week scrapbook rule either. Though I am making up for it this week.<br />
<br />
I posted a link a few weeks ago from the Inspirational Blogspot. Unfortunately it hasn't been updated since February. <br />
<br />
So with this project I went to Value Village and bought an older hardcover book. Now I did not pick a book that I recognize, because I don't think I could destroy it like I did.<br />
<br />
Conveniently there was a boarder on the first page so I used that as my cutting template.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp40DgJESngt5ZEVIttAyRyBAB6uXJFuJ3sZMsFXnHVG0UUUOx_haiancjmzzF3Exz3luX3gjGgCpV17QivQ4H5Ovm2TU6IkEUGf9JJ2DPMFbrdQGzx_-Z-73A9KDW8SxDgmvcjvlRL3KC/s1600/IMG00384-20110516-1943.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp40DgJESngt5ZEVIttAyRyBAB6uXJFuJ3sZMsFXnHVG0UUUOx_haiancjmzzF3Exz3luX3gjGgCpV17QivQ4H5Ovm2TU6IkEUGf9JJ2DPMFbrdQGzx_-Z-73A9KDW8SxDgmvcjvlRL3KC/s320/IMG00384-20110516-1943.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> Now I don't recommend using the horrible knife I did. Its the orange thing there below in the picture on the right hand side. Tip was broken, and you have to hold out the blade with a slide button. My hand was killing me. But it did make me stop earlier which might in turn have been a good thing (wow was that even English).. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi95TKPqVDGWRo5JmI6SYgUywhPIPw5dH8k1R2KMrBTBVKvpquqrAi7ulc8e8tfEHGMBe3r0R-hsgq2kF_KzAPzP8bYR2lJEGrT7J8j9JB4W6_15gMVeg-RQo9jrqSqD6NKrxxhZ2Xuua46/s1600/IMG00386-20110516-2011.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi95TKPqVDGWRo5JmI6SYgUywhPIPw5dH8k1R2KMrBTBVKvpquqrAi7ulc8e8tfEHGMBe3r0R-hsgq2kF_KzAPzP8bYR2lJEGrT7J8j9JB4W6_15gMVeg-RQo9jrqSqD6NKrxxhZ2Xuua46/s320/IMG00386-20110516-2011.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
See there is that horrible knife again. That blue thing is the slide button. Anyway. I used Making Memories Glaze Copper paint to cover the book. And this is all I finished on Monday night. I had to wait for the paint to dry, plus it was late.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlWF5jIn3RXsSOUyuHCt0wke2oxJVe57ZwnVaTtxeeUSQcqnLBDbH5uDBmaFUYdHaCC8oEzZO29GseKjAL1QV3g3UZICo4V5hKFfO5AChJOKMVPT0fUQcZBhZHg0zUDG3EumSEPOdwXCW8/s1600/IMG00390-20110516-2038.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlWF5jIn3RXsSOUyuHCt0wke2oxJVe57ZwnVaTtxeeUSQcqnLBDbH5uDBmaFUYdHaCC8oEzZO29GseKjAL1QV3g3UZICo4V5hKFfO5AChJOKMVPT0fUQcZBhZHg0zUDG3EumSEPOdwXCW8/s320/IMG00390-20110516-2038.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> So I go to bed and I have all these ideas for this book. I can see what I want. I really didn't want to get out of bed and I was lucky I had a notebook in my night stand so I decided to sketch my idea.<br />
Funny how the sketch ended up not looking like the finished product at all.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglr-VRoduD_gjEFCxP2bmVOgz_N4tDwIhUyjT7IqsYdS8vXx9VDe-W9KrnmNumJWzEv4hQQEHar5Fi4ENIzsDcI9yhOHClaf5K7yk8f892h10IjbMHShIVlEA5_o8TtSi_ozPYAEH_IbB6/s1600/IMG00391-20110516-2114.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglr-VRoduD_gjEFCxP2bmVOgz_N4tDwIhUyjT7IqsYdS8vXx9VDe-W9KrnmNumJWzEv4hQQEHar5Fi4ENIzsDcI9yhOHClaf5K7yk8f892h10IjbMHShIVlEA5_o8TtSi_ozPYAEH_IbB6/s320/IMG00391-20110516-2114.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> Last night..Tuesday..Since I have a stamp problem I figured I should use some stamps on this and I actually pictured this stamp. It's a Tim Holtz stamp. I used black Staz On. Stamped beautifully. The gold you see in this pic is Stix 2 glue and Stix 2 gold foil. It was used a lot in this project.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidQMHndcq9aV_tTgIphcTQ-m0H-K9tIQ9OCx-rEiH_qcTipTM-zH7wjeYX65Nw_f2kSWeJZs-xRpJ_toklC_jdlhgBObocPygaeGT7p-4XyA-ZHMUt_Odgj41n43vTLGVEjJKxmhm9Hn5E/s1600/IMG00398-20110517-1751.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidQMHndcq9aV_tTgIphcTQ-m0H-K9tIQ9OCx-rEiH_qcTipTM-zH7wjeYX65Nw_f2kSWeJZs-xRpJ_toklC_jdlhgBObocPygaeGT7p-4XyA-ZHMUt_Odgj41n43vTLGVEjJKxmhm9Hn5E/s320/IMG00398-20110517-1751.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> So I have some clip art CD's of vintage women. I think she might actually be on there but I found this image online and printed it off on photo paper. Now the photo paper I used was from work and it is really old. Like really old. I'd say at least 7 years old. This might be a factor later.<br />
So this is the before image.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglHzouII_QATqK59P3AU2oUMsK7nPA_bK8NAeOg3D0ahzvjOMg70AzvbYcSgBbGKmOt3yDZZXgragS7f60a7IGIAvPTzdADBDJETJoRHSbHqTTkdu8LTHwDzB3eMERZHe_tzFCgWO5Jn9j/s1600/IMG00396-20110517-1551.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglHzouII_QATqK59P3AU2oUMsK7nPA_bK8NAeOg3D0ahzvjOMg70AzvbYcSgBbGKmOt3yDZZXgragS7f60a7IGIAvPTzdADBDJETJoRHSbHqTTkdu8LTHwDzB3eMERZHe_tzFCgWO5Jn9j/s320/IMG00396-20110517-1551.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> And I used my Flower Soft for the first time. I mixed about 6 colours together to get this mix. I used my Stix 2 glue again. There is also another Flower Soft element for this project but drying time is really holding back my progress.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsGGXaiSWgxywda0T48r8N2Qu28YV_itd2Tm_pk86Hqb5NGRGwx_I2BCPWK2RNhwC7H3-6RrLgUoFjaJaRCw38dI4iJ8DSD9VvGWZ6WE83FuEY0Sfs6kgvOhNAxYb5yGZO0kSXS1vkBtgW/s1600/IMG00400-20110517-2007.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsGGXaiSWgxywda0T48r8N2Qu28YV_itd2Tm_pk86Hqb5NGRGwx_I2BCPWK2RNhwC7H3-6RrLgUoFjaJaRCw38dI4iJ8DSD9VvGWZ6WE83FuEY0Sfs6kgvOhNAxYb5yGZO0kSXS1vkBtgW/s320/IMG00400-20110517-2007.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> Not that you can see in this picture. But the hole is covered in Tim Holtz Crackle Paint. I stamped around the outside of the hold and also Stix 2 foiled part of the image. The picture in the hole is not actually in place yet. But in theory that is where it will be going. Raised up in the pages.<br />
<br />
Oh I have not glued the pages in the book yet. I will be using them to place layers of stuff.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO5xYidnHXoccOoDComsD7rG9WmJ4EhWG0lnffQPWZWA0_O9E6MfXy-WxEWuoRtfYfoQJHYt8cMwte-gFJhsQBBwRlz6xoMhlDNF76gqOoLQX9CV0eW7Wz9kzNKv8BVH3dP1jEGEHllEiZ/s1600/IMG00402-20110517-2057.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO5xYidnHXoccOoDComsD7rG9WmJ4EhWG0lnffQPWZWA0_O9E6MfXy-WxEWuoRtfYfoQJHYt8cMwte-gFJhsQBBwRlz6xoMhlDNF76gqOoLQX9CV0eW7Wz9kzNKv8BVH3dP1jEGEHllEiZ/s320/IMG00402-20110517-2057.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> So the cameo (believe 7 Gypsies--oh what fun it was cutting the picture to size) I decided to Crackle Accent it .. and this is where the age of the photo paper comes into play I think. Cause those cracks are the the pic actually cracked.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLafkUZp2BP1uOVnVX90SGNQmHev-O1y_oVcXKxYNn44Oy0-rXIQkY_eZfNjM3szfAqeauUxKMagcha_sTA5jWbn25hrI9UUiY3l3omEXkQBHW2nPpd7Bu_yoNpdq8kmfD9yJyZWcx_ZeW/s1600/IMG00403-20110518-0543.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLafkUZp2BP1uOVnVX90SGNQmHev-O1y_oVcXKxYNn44Oy0-rXIQkY_eZfNjM3szfAqeauUxKMagcha_sTA5jWbn25hrI9UUiY3l3omEXkQBHW2nPpd7Bu_yoNpdq8kmfD9yJyZWcx_ZeW/s320/IMG00403-20110518-0543.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">There are a few elements left to add..or well a lot. Just drying time is taking forever. I'm really happy that I am able to use a lot of different techniques with this project and hope to be able to finish it on Thursday. Tonite I am busy.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So thanks for looking so far.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3589728888472245023.post-49559974279769577302011-04-04T09:23:00.000-07:002011-04-04T09:23:18.217-07:00Monday mondayI am so very tired today. It was a great weekend. Great weather, lots of treasure hunting. But 15 hours sleep from Friday to Monday morning is not my idea of how to start the week.<br />
<br />
<br />
But I did found out about my old watch...It's from the 20's not the 40's like I thought. My beau was right and he pulled a I'm right and your wrong happy dance..was kinda funny..but I got him with it not being gold..it is gold plated..he swore to me it was gold..it isn't..so I guess we evened out on the watch.<br />
So was at an antique dealer asked him if he would be interested in it. He said we could get $25. So I decided to keep it. It will make its debut in the printer tray. I would have sold it for $50..but since it isn't worth that much. I will keep it. Was a great unexpected find. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6Dx1aQADsowAmpodmLYvf-s8Yo925d9HZg5aGYK4O0eckWkuI-Y_kZDvHP7c8_-C74FJzTv43Z8mHs18veCXrqFERVDkwG5_7WQqY8Vy75gcngokclljs2VqaZYiVx1UQSt3Os86a1g67/s1600/IMG00279-20110327-2052.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6Dx1aQADsowAmpodmLYvf-s8Yo925d9HZg5aGYK4O0eckWkuI-Y_kZDvHP7c8_-C74FJzTv43Z8mHs18veCXrqFERVDkwG5_7WQqY8Vy75gcngokclljs2VqaZYiVx1UQSt3Os86a1g67/s320/IMG00279-20110327-2052.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
I have 54 pen nibs..they were $6. This will be for scrapbooking..how fun is that.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaOti2xOFhL4gsXZNXb0r8DzU2lTK-ct1ueVv4QZCr03LaCDurBAV3r4X7bHUySIeJGETAxQdXYCPHZHlirplWWVN5DCt4dqrBO-nPbg6s2Q1jyz_HK-OfMrC4MQZve7m8RfHmudoMgI6A/s1600/IMG00308-20110403-1825.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaOti2xOFhL4gsXZNXb0r8DzU2lTK-ct1ueVv4QZCr03LaCDurBAV3r4X7bHUySIeJGETAxQdXYCPHZHlirplWWVN5DCt4dqrBO-nPbg6s2Q1jyz_HK-OfMrC4MQZve7m8RfHmudoMgI6A/s320/IMG00308-20110403-1825.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> We went to I don't even know how many places just treasure hunting for the printer tray and this was the find of the day. $15 for this gem.<br />
<br />
Not sure when it is from. 30's maybe 40's haven't really researched it yet. And my reasoning for believing it is that old is what I found inside.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs-g8fvxZsT-PRSWrq5bMgLYF02CJnopR4UUGa-5MO1YGAxnJEukU78i_bMXCqJ9o8TukuGtXDSFjOS2IJneiEJ0WLSVSTYu8XZmKX1AZ65ISaRxvbb1x8GeS5TyGJpFPtykyDdJpKqOlu/s1600/IMG00309-20110403-1826.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs-g8fvxZsT-PRSWrq5bMgLYF02CJnopR4UUGa-5MO1YGAxnJEukU78i_bMXCqJ9o8TukuGtXDSFjOS2IJneiEJ0WLSVSTYu8XZmKX1AZ65ISaRxvbb1x8GeS5TyGJpFPtykyDdJpKqOlu/s320/IMG00309-20110403-1826.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> It is a notebook..and someone has recorded there family tree in there..very interesting...and there was one more surprise..<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjnjZ80NfSPngLU743XlqVp-R9YhF5AHoRYkMHmBUKwXpN-b9EvtMcMynmFyiSCHcdSVPGWuwtzbq2ipdNFljsPZeM3llD6DkMn5u3FfTuB6UxiFZYvX04TDzRkik7Z__qpxsKxu0nOaP6/s1600/IMG00310-20110403-1828.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjnjZ80NfSPngLU743XlqVp-R9YhF5AHoRYkMHmBUKwXpN-b9EvtMcMynmFyiSCHcdSVPGWuwtzbq2ipdNFljsPZeM3llD6DkMn5u3FfTuB6UxiFZYvX04TDzRkik7Z__qpxsKxu0nOaP6/s320/IMG00310-20110403-1828.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> There was a tiny picture in there. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNsq59d95MbNOQ04Rn2ghnIvst3yj58JT0NjxOgLzly1Z2Uek0OqaUerNOFp26sOlm0NgSMTartX3xVfPy8_q1dWyJYr1YUtiZQftq_ojOrrNb3GVZ69wSt1Bqc4GRnfFigh2Dc2GSE9YH/s1600/IMG00311-20110403-1830.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNsq59d95MbNOQ04Rn2ghnIvst3yj58JT0NjxOgLzly1Z2Uek0OqaUerNOFp26sOlm0NgSMTartX3xVfPy8_q1dWyJYr1YUtiZQftq_ojOrrNb3GVZ69wSt1Bqc4GRnfFigh2Dc2GSE9YH/s320/IMG00311-20110403-1830.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Lots of treasures were found this weekend. Not a lot of money spent either I think $40 in total. We have decided on a couple items that we are on the hunt for to add to the tray..not just random like we have been doing.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">- green army guys.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">- a thimble..but a really cool odd design thimble.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">- car parts. a spark plug..oh I saw a spark plug turned into a toy car on weekend. was very cute..</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">and that is it for must find and leave space for.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This is a ole carpenters pencil I think. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxHLjHUoRa15DOZGWZIcVpkAHJJGGUwOWgx07g4jMGJXnqDqQx94jKM3o2ioPf86vut_OWvOS5R8_1q4JjVCo0pX7JzCptB2_NFQhycmpDGm6LFpb-Lcj-mMoty8F3pPz8_qgxLR6WeJ2r/s1600/IMG00312-20110403-1838.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxHLjHUoRa15DOZGWZIcVpkAHJJGGUwOWgx07g4jMGJXnqDqQx94jKM3o2ioPf86vut_OWvOS5R8_1q4JjVCo0pX7JzCptB2_NFQhycmpDGm6LFpb-Lcj-mMoty8F3pPz8_qgxLR6WeJ2r/s320/IMG00312-20110403-1838.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> This I bought for my beau. But somehow it's going in my collection..<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpYPdx6lnKUuupLapmUXFqFMwytkN36IRKhUwqqO7m8OZ2p_MM75POGSV3Tds3Xi5pQb-UeEilGfpXBtVL8fWENZ_GmugOwW0wXDNIyUqjH_0VOTq7dvB7_6rvZFf6Nfk9_1NZwax3Mf36/s1600/IMG00313-20110403-1842.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpYPdx6lnKUuupLapmUXFqFMwytkN36IRKhUwqqO7m8OZ2p_MM75POGSV3Tds3Xi5pQb-UeEilGfpXBtVL8fWENZ_GmugOwW0wXDNIyUqjH_0VOTq7dvB7_6rvZFf6Nfk9_1NZwax3Mf36/s320/IMG00313-20110403-1842.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> And the other various items. That's right a smurf car. More lead toys in the back. I refrained from putting them in my mouth and chewing on them.<br />
I am so not going to get anymore wade figurines. But the monkey's were necessary. I had the chimp one when I was a kid, and the beau loves monkeys..<br />

But I will never destroy anything in good condition, or worth anything.<br />
So I'm about to go to Salvation Army to see what I can find.<br />
<br />
My bag of watches I found..none of them worked (except the Bulova--which I am still trying to find out about) and the glass was broken on most or just scratched very badly..so they came apart..and have become this pile..(now some parts I bought from stampo.com--which is what led me to I can find this stuff places and take it apart myself)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5A43VNZRPiRpfFLzldmNWFsJfTanB2-I_sC7Ovkqo5MpPJRKuAKszwTo-fo-eYpH7_7jOFgtpVXn6LpPyhWeX0hNLwg98lI4QZygdOEoA7Fzet9aRM73GPR68GXrGuS_D1k_BkELE8WcT/s1600/IMG00282-20110329-0949.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5A43VNZRPiRpfFLzldmNWFsJfTanB2-I_sC7Ovkqo5MpPJRKuAKszwTo-fo-eYpH7_7jOFgtpVXn6LpPyhWeX0hNLwg98lI4QZygdOEoA7Fzet9aRM73GPR68GXrGuS_D1k_BkELE8WcT/s320/IMG00282-20110329-0949.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I'm still looking for domino's and scrabble pieces and maybe a bingo game..all for scrapping supplies of course. Much cheaper. And kinda different looking when you do it this way.</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3589728888472245023.post-81199855529413398712011-03-31T04:00:00.000-07:002011-03-31T04:00:35.510-07:00Tuesday Scrapping--transfer tapeSo the idea for todays playing with stuff came from <a href="http://inkstainswithroni.blogspot.com/2011/03/mom-gothic-arch-6-packing-tape.html">transfer tape</a> .<br />
<br />
I recently just got rid of a bunch of magazines and such, so I am kinda kicking myself right now. But now I will be on the hunt for stuff. I do live across from a Salvation Army..so I'm thinking I could probably find a cool magazine over there. Patiently waiting for them to open. Anyway....<br />
I had a Cosmo laying around went thru it, did a test it worked great..so excited about the endless possibilities of this medium. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHz6XjV7X8Qwpn0inGjSdt-6WyyjN0XherJp7nQhxVsGR1iy2uZi1vnMrAvVvqU_Lknc0lkMKBjrDj7hjb3EhUEl3Kik7KBbxFpNnjZ3LcvCWcxvrUgd8cOtaw2XAMr02rwqHndZbX_nc0/s1600/IMG00281-20110329-0935.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHz6XjV7X8Qwpn0inGjSdt-6WyyjN0XherJp7nQhxVsGR1iy2uZi1vnMrAvVvqU_Lknc0lkMKBjrDj7hjb3EhUEl3Kik7KBbxFpNnjZ3LcvCWcxvrUgd8cOtaw2XAMr02rwqHndZbX_nc0/s320/IMG00281-20110329-0935.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>so this is what I have cut out so far. Just anything that caught my eye. Mostly numbers and such.<br />
<br />
So this is what I did with the tape transfer..I used a number stamp in the background. Then I added in red in another linen stamped image background.<br />
<br />

I thought I would number and date them..I have an office supply store stamp that is used for numbering things. So I decided that will be good for dating and numbering.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-9TaN_ggkl_A4zTdlWrxVOoHCg_Rd9TyaBPfE3roShb3-F02mLMBIj8BleoJESh3WBYknAiW0jiII45yrQkBCWQO7U-Md76ABz0M5Ug6BtuKxVaFyQUEmTZbqb8tw33N1ibtEoIMUcnIJ/s1600/IMG00289-20110329-1151.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-9TaN_ggkl_A4zTdlWrxVOoHCg_Rd9TyaBPfE3roShb3-F02mLMBIj8BleoJESh3WBYknAiW0jiII45yrQkBCWQO7U-Md76ABz0M5Ug6BtuKxVaFyQUEmTZbqb8tw33N1ibtEoIMUcnIJ/s320/IMG00289-20110329-1151.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
My background stamp from the first ATC I did got me thinking about the huge box of fabric I have..hence the medium I used for my next ATC..<br />
I inked the fabric. And all though you can't see it very well in the picture, I used a chipboard shape and painted it with silver crackle paint then gold leafed penned it and then added a little yellow ink to it as well.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyEL6xp6UqLOJxXaly5944OWZvqElicYu1O_I0xeReCmIbKKy4BnVvlx5M1t9ch0XpQzKHZzdcSb6z9NoH1XZr-A5EN1Nj_Jgg_q4zLUUU4U-HQ5jnSWCJKQp6fctjZGwXcDtX3d-P8_NR/s1600/IMG00295-20110329-1412.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyEL6xp6UqLOJxXaly5944OWZvqElicYu1O_I0xeReCmIbKKy4BnVvlx5M1t9ch0XpQzKHZzdcSb6z9NoH1XZr-A5EN1Nj_Jgg_q4zLUUU4U-HQ5jnSWCJKQp6fctjZGwXcDtX3d-P8_NR/s320/IMG00295-20110329-1412.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My last project of the day was embossing. I am the worst embosser ever!!!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Even if you try to show me. You will lose all ability to emboss around me. I suck the embossing knowledge out of you. But don't worry it returns after I leave the room..It is so true.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">So I played with resistance..also I did some paint and clear embossing backgrounds. These ATC are not complete yet, and they may not be all used but they are ready to go if the mood strikes to use them for something.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

fill it with random treasures I had found, purchased..etc..(a picture of the tray can be found in the link)<br />
<a href="http://scrappingtonscrapper.blogspot.com/2011/03/treasures.html">Printer Tray--Treasures Post</a><br />
<br />
Anyway..I have been purchasing, and searching the house and I started to assemble my tray last night.<br />
This is proving more difficult than I thought. Some of those compartments are very small.<br />
This is the start of what I did last night.<br />
I used glue dots and pop dots (with glue dots) to adhere things to the tray. I assume the glue dots wouldn't damage the tray or the item.<br />
And can I just point out that the paddle lock is heavy and there is about 10 glue dots on it and it is holding strong.<br />

But it is coming along. I think it will take a while to finish it. But that is half the fun looking for weird, interesting items to put in there. I am going to make a template and keep it in my purse so I know how big something can be. Still very shocked at the size of some of these. I can take out some dividers..but it just seems wrong to change the tray itself. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The other tray I got not sure what I will put in it yet. I can't see me doing this to it. Cause I believe this project is going to prove to be very expensive.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div> And I bought a bag full of old watches for $14..this is one of the one's in the bag. It's a lady's Bulova watch. IT WORKS!!! and I assume it pre-dates 1948 as there are no date markings on it. Gonna get it checked out.<br />
The other watches did not work. I have taken them apart to use for scrapbooking. I think one of the faces or something will make it into the tray.<br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thinking that another ATC or something similar is in the mix.</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3589728888472245023.post-17566881532982743412011-03-24T03:39:00.000-07:002011-03-24T03:39:38.856-07:00Today is the day..I scrapbooked--A Timeline9:20 am EST..<br />
I am going to be in my scraproom at 6pm this evening. Maybe earlier if I get the dishes and dinner complete. <br />
I am thinking traffic may be a nightmare this evening..so dishes might have to wait until tomorrow.<br />
<br />
I am going to make an ATC or Tag..I have ideas.<br />
<br />
I have way too many virgin stamps. I also have my binder ready (to be my stamp inventory) to stamp off images that I am using to start my stamp inventory.<br />
<br />
I'm so excited. <br />
<br />
Stay tuned..<br />
<br />
12:28pm EST<br />
<br />
We are getting closer..ok so in between working I have been printing off some vintage clip art I have found. <a href="http://www.thevintagemoth.blogspot.com/">Vintage Free Clip Art</a><br />
Getting ideas flowing and etc..Oh I can't wait. I can seriously see dishes are not getting done tonite and I will just eat dinner and go straight to scraproom. <br />
Now I do have a little clean up and set up to do in my scraproom to get it so I can just start scrapping..won't take long. Have to put away some stamps. (The ones I clinged...But I will be using some of those I figure..) Have to plug in and get out my go to tool...my heat gun. I heat gun everything. <br />
<br />
I also downloaded from <a href="http://www.rangerink.com/">Ranger Ink</a> 's site , the rest of the labels I need for my new distress inks, a colour swatch chart for my distress inks. They did have stickles, and alcohol ink charts too..so I downloaded them as well..and yes I have the complete collection of re-inkers and distress inks , and alcohol inks..not all the stickles, but enough. <br />
<br />
Two blogs that I frequent <br />
<a href="http://inkstainswithroni.blogspot.com/">Ink Stains</a> -- seriously awesome blog..love this blog.<br />
<br />
&<br />
<a href="http://inspirationalcraftblogs.blogspot.com/">Inspirational</a><br />
<br />
Now this entry just made me want to some how make one of these<br />
<br />
<a href="http://inspirationalcraftblogs.blogspot.com/2010/11/beautiful-book-carvings-by-julia-feld.html">This is sooo cool</a> (takes a second to load)<br />
<br />
4:51pm EST<br />
ok drive home sucked...extra 25mins<br />
but at least when I got home there was my new issue of Stampers Sampler's.<br />
<br />
Kettle is boiled, tea is steeping, gonna peruse my magazine and move tv into scraproom and scrap something..<br />
<br />
stay tuned...<br />
The following day....<br />
6:34am EST <br />
<br />
It was glorious..I had a great time..<br />
And now the share....<br />
Drum roll<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8z1L69FYxGbzAmn7wURUDYPqNZPxE2JImo5JV3hlR2vPlAo94n6foi_UUz7HN6ZArpKGfUP8dNOHIhZj3X9zieA1VbNeAhWTr1ozE19qldkezvoT7b2u7xr_CG_KtzLIO44hqlEpE8Dyh/s1600/IMG00269-20110323-1901.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8z1L69FYxGbzAmn7wURUDYPqNZPxE2JImo5JV3hlR2vPlAo94n6foi_UUz7HN6ZArpKGfUP8dNOHIhZj3X9zieA1VbNeAhWTr1ozE19qldkezvoT7b2u7xr_CG_KtzLIO44hqlEpE8Dyh/s320/IMG00269-20110323-1901.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>This ATC I used a lot of layering. It's hard to tell in this picture. But there is a a stamped background with a diamond background stamp (Tim Holtz)<br />
The Journal de Paris is one of the clip art images I downloaded.<br />
Paris stamp at bottom is (Tim Holtz) and the other stamps I forget.<br />
<br />
And NEXT...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhy9mqdncSfX5d1g3DjX_FdVuNLAd7sOh9AVInhROerqkM0QWVLPM8u-7DLKNxQwSqecl7XFUhRg4gxj6hvpu2QCeKR1xv27SQNReqizxU5-7es0vpz7ZwwtlbYxKIEDCV43Xvi6Ozkq9U/s1600/IMG00270-20110323-1939.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhy9mqdncSfX5d1g3DjX_FdVuNLAd7sOh9AVInhROerqkM0QWVLPM8u-7DLKNxQwSqecl7XFUhRg4gxj6hvpu2QCeKR1xv27SQNReqizxU5-7es0vpz7ZwwtlbYxKIEDCV43Xvi6Ozkq9U/s320/IMG00270-20110323-1939.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_EUM2ilkaDPwaZncjnEI4I8oVk43ZCIsQU3cKjNX2QZDpr5osuwhpn8oZgrNCN7yfMrKsJ61Jm6X8KDAS63kvlDqNvc_QEowJ3ZGEMwpAMmW3JDjrT4NUAma40Zr5AgNyy9J8VMKetCic/s1600/IMG00272-20110323-2016.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_EUM2ilkaDPwaZncjnEI4I8oVk43ZCIsQU3cKjNX2QZDpr5osuwhpn8oZgrNCN7yfMrKsJ61Jm6X8KDAS63kvlDqNvc_QEowJ3ZGEMwpAMmW3JDjrT4NUAma40Zr5AgNyy9J8VMKetCic/s320/IMG00272-20110323-2016.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>I used a clip art image again.<br />
Now I don't own a lot of pink so I had to colour the flower, brad and heart with a copic to get it pink.<br />
I had a lot of fun with this. I wanted to layer and I did.<br />
I had a great time last night.<br />
Can't wait to do it again.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3589728888472245023.post-23720610075782020472011-03-07T05:07:00.000-08:002011-03-07T05:07:13.975-08:00No further aheadI had such high hopes for this past weekend. <br />
And nothing got accomplished.<br />
My cable and internet have been out since Friday morning. I am assured someone is coming this evening. I sure hope so. <br />
I think I have the winter blahs..they have finally hit me.<br />
<br />
My truck was a frozen block of metal this morning that took forever to get into and is still partially frozen.<br />
<br />
So nothing good to report today.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3589728888472245023.post-61432276942778959552011-03-04T04:01:00.000-08:002011-03-04T04:01:12.063-08:00What have I learnedWell I found some really cool stuff I didn't know I had.<br />
I so just want to scrapbook something.<br />
<br />
I really miss my hobby.<br />
My room makes me happy<br />
<br />
And it doesn't matter how cool or cheap the stamp is..unmounted rubber is not worth it. I cut up 4.5 sheets of Ez mount last night. But with my Tim Holtz scissors it was easy. My hands didn't even hurt after. And Un-Du is the greatest product ever!!!!<br />
<br />

Yes that is 7 Binders worth of stamps. But I will remind you cling is very thick. I think one binder only has 15 6x6 stamps in it and then it was full. </div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;"></div>I am not allowed to buy the following anymore:<br />
first we start with types of stamps..<br />
- trees<br />
- script<br />
- ledger<br />
- grids<br />
- flowers<br />
- flourishes and swirls<br />
- postal themed <br />
- clocks, time or anything related<br />
<br />
Secondly.<br />
- no more flock, glitter, adhesive<br />
<br />
Thirdly<br />
- ATC stuff<br />
<br />
Fourthly<br />
- pockets, envelopes<br />
<br />
Fifthly<br />
- storage stuff<br />
<br />
Sixthly<br />
- alterable stuff<br />
<br />
Honestly there should be a sevenly..(is that even a word--spell check is saying no..but I'm going with it anyway)<br />
- metal..but I love metal. Chunky metal embellishments.<br />
<br />
<br />
That is off the top of my head.<br />
<br />
<br />
So what is left for me to do in my room..<br />
ok..re-arrange my punches. <br />
sort my paper<br />
still purge some things<br />
work on my ribbon<br />
get decorative fun shelves up..<br />
finish emptying down stairs scraproom<br />
purge<br />
find my ATC Carousel--it has been located<br />
decide on some furniture options<br />
and tweaking..I'm sure there will always be tweaking..<br />
<br />
Longer ambitiousness--stamp off images for my stamps that do not have a card in front of them so I know what they are.<br />
I did order some business card holders for my smaller stamps. They came in yesterday--and they are dealt with.<br />
<br />
Tuesday night I sat on my bed and dealt with all my acrylics and cling stamps. I also sorted thru all my metal embellishments. I really need to get a tv in my scraproom. I just need it on to hear it and be able to look up from time to time to see it. Its a comforting thing to me. Always have been that way. And tv is always on in my house. Unless I am in music mode and its blaring. I just like the noise I think. I have done that since I was 11 or 12..always when I am home alone...which is getting less and less now. <br />
Well more pictures to follow..(they are above)<br />
<br />
The tv from the kitchen (with a longer cable cord added) does reach my scraproom..YAY..Unknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3589728888472245023.post-30086775455605292412011-03-03T03:40:00.000-08:002011-03-03T03:40:38.707-08:00TreasuresRecently, my beau and I have been going to junk shops, antique shops, flea markets, etc..I have found some great stuff..some is to decorate my scraproom..some items are just for me cause I like them.<br />
<br />
I have a tattoo on my right upper thigh / hip..it is World War I dog tags..they are of my great great uncle..this is what he would have worn on his uniform..I have found some military stuff so I am collecting it so I can make a shadow box..that will be a project later to be shown, once I find all the pieces..still need 3 more pieces..<br />

The old scraproom. I can see my awesome antique desk in there. No it did not follow me upstairs. But at least its visable again.<br />
<br />
Well we started late on Saturday. Jackie arrived at 5:30pm..and shockingly we only took too breaks. Once for dinner and once for cake. She left just after 11:30pm.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpcGnhQ0zzrTOOjyc17NF050KiMIZd-7YCXPQsRKugJugpWcbJfsXrMDUqAGFCv_-1JZQhyphenhyphen0NkruWSxOT_lUGSC1pa1xl9ZnM-iU_bOyfGVmWK09tDAIfaAoxb_b8Fv75PVZZ_QdoKZANR/s1600/IMG00221-20110224-1954.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" l6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpcGnhQ0zzrTOOjyc17NF050KiMIZd-7YCXPQsRKugJugpWcbJfsXrMDUqAGFCv_-1JZQhyphenhyphen0NkruWSxOT_lUGSC1pa1xl9ZnM-iU_bOyfGVmWK09tDAIfaAoxb_b8Fv75PVZZ_QdoKZANR/s320/IMG00221-20110224-1954.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> These are just all stamps. There was another container full of stamps as well. But we came up with a great storage solution.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghSHAJqpLpBsQMUGQbsC5_Cs6rqQDMLuIzVLY1rI9XHlALpwTzNF4K89bQ-T15342-MwpBRul2UjDPdGOUiWQ5HjzYbwZnws92jKzfESjdDt0ePK-Zu3yFOUdyc-iXEcyndcE2_jGGYsYU/s1600/IMG00224-20110227-1452.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" l6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghSHAJqpLpBsQMUGQbsC5_Cs6rqQDMLuIzVLY1rI9XHlALpwTzNF4K89bQ-T15342-MwpBRul2UjDPdGOUiWQ5HjzYbwZnws92jKzfESjdDt0ePK-Zu3yFOUdyc-iXEcyndcE2_jGGYsYU/s320/IMG00224-20110227-1452.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> Spice rack risers. Not sure what else to call them.<br />

They fit perfectly. I will have to raise the back three. But there is a problem. There is no more room for stamps..lol..<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhMefdCkyLrK8lo4vnPkthZK6Wns3XDrbAjzvV5L3TH__oBQytcmnduETj_ZiMKY4-O4iZvy5Jf028VFgw_zRZIt6tM8c12tZi4RdLW9Mqr-a5soqIpmZajf_AN-3XwPofRv4I5QSSZDns/s1600/IMG00226-20110301-1723.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" l6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhMefdCkyLrK8lo4vnPkthZK6Wns3XDrbAjzvV5L3TH__oBQytcmnduETj_ZiMKY4-O4iZvy5Jf028VFgw_zRZIt6tM8c12tZi4RdLW9Mqr-a5soqIpmZajf_AN-3XwPofRv4I5QSSZDns/s320/IMG00226-20110301-1723.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> My acrylics and clings went into photo sheets into a binder. My bigger stamps are in sheet protectors. I do have to go and get baseball card holder sheets for my smaller stamps.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9w7pN0B2dDuJFSznLFS2iOtXbiMJvMAsT_gw8b7gDE8nxUOOKcf0HqDOvppQwO2pQ4vtpQluHIwpRXpgnvFUTh84m-T-DGI5GqLCS6Uw5dg1Crack1gGTTUejLjSIqQUogSaC16Lu31Cw/s1600/IMG00229-20110301-1811.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" l6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9w7pN0B2dDuJFSznLFS2iOtXbiMJvMAsT_gw8b7gDE8nxUOOKcf0HqDOvppQwO2pQ4vtpQluHIwpRXpgnvFUTh84m-T-DGI5GqLCS6Uw5dg1Crack1gGTTUejLjSIqQUogSaC16Lu31Cw/s320/IMG00229-20110301-1811.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> And this is the progress we have. My room isn't done. I would say another 4 hours worth of work. Which I did some last night. I did all the stamps last night. I sorted my metal embellishments. I have a metal problem, probably as bad as my stamp problem. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2Pap_nRUxlCJOsV21CvPcMjwOqfADgAhSS6MhZKt6-fgvpIaUG0lgrL5v-4VwcsmA9m6hcPkzIfzaP0MED1azRBe1Fdg8AGFileI0bgFNfGoCHTCWN6bGh8jepEXFjVyOUAQGzxgn1HNj/s1600/IMG00232-20110301-1824.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" l6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2Pap_nRUxlCJOsV21CvPcMjwOqfADgAhSS6MhZKt6-fgvpIaUG0lgrL5v-4VwcsmA9m6hcPkzIfzaP0MED1azRBe1Fdg8AGFileI0bgFNfGoCHTCWN6bGh8jepEXFjVyOUAQGzxgn1HNj/s320/IMG00232-20110301-1824.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>I will take more pics. My table is in the room as well. So are a lot of empty containers which I have to remove and get rid of.<br />
<br />
But it is coming a long. <br />
Thank you Jackie of all your help.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3589728888472245023.post-1363990939362867072011-02-23T03:54:00.000-08:002011-02-23T03:54:50.696-08:00Isn't it just pretty<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4zWu-VMLVjdoxGeL-8ydKY4riKDNaSJ19BYKk6NgV7PvqzXSwMLCwT6BuFYaoUDWdjeTAZDCOwNI3O73P1Ag4AM3Y7ev8cUPz8sJp1IgttMoyGb_lcdjGmm60R6ENCndIzsYgyR3AhBL_/s1600/IMG00208-20110222-1836.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" j6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4zWu-VMLVjdoxGeL-8ydKY4riKDNaSJ19BYKk6NgV7PvqzXSwMLCwT6BuFYaoUDWdjeTAZDCOwNI3O73P1Ag4AM3Y7ev8cUPz8sJp1IgttMoyGb_lcdjGmm60R6ENCndIzsYgyR3AhBL_/s320/IMG00208-20110222-1836.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> So I decided to get all my baskets out and put them in places. The baskets with the black rectangle in the front (those are actually chalk boards for labeling the baskets..fun isn't it) those are the ones I got at Michaels on the weekend. Very excited.<br />

Since I was unable to start loading my room because I was sick. And I still am sick. I was able to get my shelves painted.<br />
And me being me chose orange.<br />
<br />
And Jackie was so kind to reschedule with me. This Saturday (and she is giving up a Saturday to help me) we are moving stuff into my room.<br />
Michael's had baskets 50% off plus Saturday and Sunday was and extra 25% off..got some really fun baskets. I decided to go back on Sunday and get another set because I can return them if I don't need them. So my theory was it was better to have to many then not enough.<br />
<br />
I also picked up some fun stuff for my shelves (wall style) that are getting painted a fantastic green today. And will be installed this evening when I get home. I have been going antiquing the last couple weekends. I think my room will have a nice 7 Gypsies feel to it. Which is my style..<br />

Of course I got sick on Sunday. So my plans for Monday were cancelled do to the fact I could not get out of bed.<br />
<br />
I am still sick of course.<br />
<br />
But my room is painted and there are shelves.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcuQwsDrGhj71YXzMYf7pzyr-mX39ajtLKBJ1FwSb9ma_-phADF-BBEw0Fdo6zdqdO2uB2B6E7D-ft-X2GHV4G2dzK1B8_Nb1nF6FBzgRhpa1s_sE_5IzGu8QXiibAQWaC9QbWC-KbSATQ/s1600/walls.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" j6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcuQwsDrGhj71YXzMYf7pzyr-mX39ajtLKBJ1FwSb9ma_-phADF-BBEw0Fdo6zdqdO2uB2B6E7D-ft-X2GHV4G2dzK1B8_Nb1nF6FBzgRhpa1s_sE_5IzGu8QXiibAQWaC9QbWC-KbSATQ/s320/walls.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>This was before I took the tape off the floor.<br />
<br />

It also gave me surface space. Which was going to be an issue.<br />
<br />

Oh I noticed I didn't get the full shot of the tall shelf in there..well the tall shelf is taller..lol (again I will remind you I am sick.)Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3589728888472245023.post-38823642931285588422011-02-11T10:38:00.001-08:002011-02-11T10:38:45.395-08:00THERE IS PAINTINGMy room is being painted. I can't wait to get home and see how it looks.<br />
I've been told might need more paint. But....it's getting painted..progress...it's progress..Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3589728888472245023.post-64365959322656882282011-02-11T03:48:00.000-08:002011-02-11T03:50:09.579-08:00Next StepOk I have been told my room is getting painted today while I am at work. I am really hoping so, but I am not sure...we will see.<br />
<br />
So as always I am behind schedule.<br />
I need to box up most of my room before Monday morning. <br />
The shelves were purchased last night.<br />
<br />
My Theory..<br />
- box up all like items in same rubbermaid containers. So all stamps in one container. All dies, etc etc etc..<br />
- Start putting stuff in containers (once the rubbermaids are upstairs) or put the item in their new home as I go..<br />
- Have the table and other furniture up in room so we can move stuff and arrange stuff as necessary.<br />
- The shelves are to be assembled and roughly placed. They were purchased from Lowes and they can hold up to a 1000 lbs..hey scrapbook stuff is heavy and I have a thing for metal and chipboard. The shelves are also 18 inches deep which means I can put a lot of stuff on there.<br />
<br />
And again I am not going with the pretty all conformed looking stuff..I'm going eclectic, which is more my style. Lots of bright colours where possible. <br />
<br />
After I see how many wood blocked stamps I have I have decided to make my own shelving unit. I haven't been able to find anything, but I figure if I use 1 x 4 wood I can make my own custom shelving unit for the stamps..I have a lot of stamps. <br />
<br />
I am a I need to see it girl. And not direct vision. But it can't be in a container behind a cupboard door..I need to see the container. And with everything being so different I will know what it is that orange ceramic square pot that I am using to house such and such. And that pail blue double metal bucket will have this..I will know that..I have a weird memory.<br />
<br />
I found a kitchen cart at Rona for $50..that is going to be my die cutting station. I it is relatively small in size but it is on wheels so I can roll it over to my desk when I need to.<br />
<br />
I will have a printing / silhouette station..I have a spare 1950's table that can serve that purpose.<br />
I have been downloading like no tomorrow since I got my Silhouette..would be nice to actually use it.<br />
<br />
I have decided to go binder style for all my unmounted rubber. I will use report covers and sheet protectors. <br />
I still want to inventory all my stamps but that will take time. <br />
<br />
It's coming together. <br />
I am so looking forward to using my stash. <br />
I have yet to try my ten second studios stuff..<br />
<br />
OH....and I have decided to put up pictures of Marilyn Monroe all over my room. Why cause I have a thing for her. I even made a mini-book a couple years ago. <br />
<br />
Will my room be finished as of Monday..Hell no..will it be scrapable.. yes.<br />
There will be other things that need to be bought, but we all only got so much coin..Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3589728888472245023.post-34332277138818582192011-02-10T05:46:00.000-08:002011-02-10T05:46:47.563-08:00Scraproom--oh the horror<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8RI0cVTBUNnGeAAciXG-9vwi2IFx9USSch4Agafk7wrloO4sclxGf582QMr3MP3HOlu8J1jmaEk1JID-vul5mncSyBO-vwJt2QFd86IyDUmHH9K8ZOBhIx_5VjN4dcuu_MUVFDo7x2xnB/s1600/IMG00146-20110205-0933%255B1%255D.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" h5="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8RI0cVTBUNnGeAAciXG-9vwi2IFx9USSch4Agafk7wrloO4sclxGf582QMr3MP3HOlu8J1jmaEk1JID-vul5mncSyBO-vwJt2QFd86IyDUmHH9K8ZOBhIx_5VjN4dcuu_MUVFDo7x2xnB/s320/IMG00146-20110205-0933%255B1%255D.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>This is what I started with..empty room. It has a south facing window. It was orginally Pink with Green trim..not my doing, previous owners did that.<br />
<br />
So this is what happened next..<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcDFk3FZLGJWLvG_pa7mlxMTXaITnv-nDKLKA9QR0DiwjwcWOEGH7bDYnrRWaXEsDZSD2MdqkFXPqZoAfD8szyw-OjouQgK7lVA25PIhwxA90XoTF8zQ2bWspiFzBDEVNGiFcdADDiWbMx/s1600/IMG00149-20110205-0955%255B1%255D.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" h5="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcDFk3FZLGJWLvG_pa7mlxMTXaITnv-nDKLKA9QR0DiwjwcWOEGH7bDYnrRWaXEsDZSD2MdqkFXPqZoAfD8szyw-OjouQgK7lVA25PIhwxA90XoTF8zQ2bWspiFzBDEVNGiFcdADDiWbMx/s320/IMG00149-20110205-0955%255B1%255D.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>There were a couple spots on the wall that had some peeling paint. And in preparation for priming I knew that you were suppose to scrape around these places until the old paint stopped flaking off..<br />
<br />
On to the next photo...<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzO6CD3k0kwfTQzqzWq8dt4I9zxuSrgxKo3I-VVY2tA4FCzCKeO-gPSnv5FFtx1ARfy8pePTiSE3v7msSvAU_vpaW9zmtvmjwV5SNMBrDwkY9oL_dmkJsqesgJySLk-ukLDmJV26z7IbA2/s1600/IMG00152-20110205-1114%255B1%255D.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" h5="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzO6CD3k0kwfTQzqzWq8dt4I9zxuSrgxKo3I-VVY2tA4FCzCKeO-gPSnv5FFtx1ARfy8pePTiSE3v7msSvAU_vpaW9zmtvmjwV5SNMBrDwkY9oL_dmkJsqesgJySLk-ukLDmJV26z7IbA2/s320/IMG00152-20110205-1114%255B1%255D.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>I believe this was taken at hour two..not sure..I just know it took all day to scrape all the walls..latex paint over oil paint with no primer in between..not a good idea..<br />
<br />
So the room is only primed at this point. It will get painted this weekend..<br />
<br />
Oh and here is what you find under the first layer of paint.<br />
<br />
<br />

I haven't bought anything in awhile either.<br />
I am about to get a Big Shot and some Tim Holtz dies and such..(my new scraproom will have a die cut station)<br />
Well my scraproom is getting painted this weekend. Tomorrow..<br />
Next weekend I will go get the shelving and have it all up and ready to put stuff on.<br />
I still have to box up my scraproom down stairs<br />
On Valentine's Day..my wonderful friend Jackie, is coming during the day to help me put stuff away in my new scraproom. <br />
I am really hoping we are not lying under the table half way thru like we were when we sorted her room.<br />
<br />
I have so many new things to try..stuff I have bought over the last year. New stuff. I just want to play with it. And by my guesstamation I will be in 2 weeks able to do so.<br />
<br />
Of course once my room is all pretty and such I will not want to touch it.<br />
<br />
I have decided I cannot just go with all the same baskets and such. It isn't me. I need a mix of things. Stuff I like to look at. Stuff that will fit what I want to put in it.<br />
<br />
My only unsure how to house or display stuff is my stamps..I have a lot of stamps and I just keep getting more. I have acrylics, clings, and woodblocked..I am not taking them off the wood..I like my wood. My wood is staying.<br />
<br />
There isn't enough hours in the day. Or enough free time for me to be able to do all of this.<br />
<br />
I have decided to go forth and start with ATC's. That will be my get back into it. I do have an ATC Display Holder...so looking forward to filling that. So many ideas.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3589728888472245023.post-90272801539743408222011-02-04T07:41:00.000-08:002011-02-04T07:41:43.733-08:00My Version of ScrapbookingI know there are different names for it. People call themselves Cardmakers, Stampers, Paper Crafters..I just kinda lump it all and say I scrapbook. Sure I do pages, I make cards, I alter things, I make ATC's..but to me it's all scrapbooking.<br />
<br />
I know I have generalized it. But I'm using Scrapbooking stuff to do it therefore I scrapbookUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3589728888472245023.post-89486764298951652372011-02-03T09:29:00.000-08:002011-02-03T09:29:46.658-08:00Starting OverIt's been a long time. <br />
I haven't scrapbooked or even blogged properly since November 2009.<br />
But it's the year of George, that is what I am calling it. (Kuddos to those who picked up the Seinfeld reference there..I know it was summer of George..but it's Winter and well I'm not a fan of the Winter of George..hence the year of George is my choice) <br />
The new me. <br />
Starting over.<br />
<br />
My first challenge my scraproom.<br />
I decided to move it out of it's current room to upstairs to the spare bedroom and vice versa.<br />
<br />
A fresh start, a new blog, a new room.<br />
<br />
So what will my blog be about other than scrapbooking, or my version of scrapbooking.<br />
- Well first it will be my process of building my scraproom. I have a lot of ideas and I want to do it right this time. There will be lots of pics<br />
- Organization of it all.<br />
- I would like to work my way back to scrapbooking so to begin with just my completed projects.<br />
- R & D..I miss R & D..this was so much easier when Jackie owned the store.<br />
- Technique shares<br />
- Product reviews<br />
- Tutorials<br />
That's just to begin with.<br />
I have no idea how to make this blog prettier..not sure I want to anyway. Think it should just be about the stuff I am putting on here.<br />
Orange is my colour though.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com4
